A self portrait test with the ST 200, a test of indoor shooting and how slow a shutter I could handhold, not a test of me as a Model :)

Helios 44m6 58/2: Pablito Homage

I was out while my kids were in Gymnastics, and I walked around the parking lot and neighbourhood goofing around with my Helios 44m6 58mm Zeiss clone

Pablito-UK had a really nice shot a week or so ago that was a Helios 44 shot, so I saw this leaf hanging on in the wind and it reminded me of it, so it was time for an Homage/tribute :)

Summicron 50/2: Golden Aura

As the sun set , it left this gorgeous glow on the clouds up above, I dont know if this is because we were down near the lake or not, but it was very nice for a few minutes. This is the opposite direction to the previous shot

Summicron 50/2: Orange leaves

Just before sunset, the lake is about 25 metres below the ridgeline behind us, so we sort of got an early sunset
The gold of the sunset + the orange colouring of the trees was cool

Summicron 50/2: Moviestar!

A friend of mine asked me to take some fall photos of his family , the colours of the leaves were really nice, and we all had a great time!

This is his wife , I took this without using flash and converted it to B&W as I liked the tones of her sweater and the sparkle of her ear-ring. Plus it looks like a promo shot for a 60s moviestar

Summicron 50/2: Bokeh monster Bokeh

A shot of my Pentax KX and the kool super MC Takumar 50/1.4 mounted , strangely , I got some really nice bokeh with the flowers in the background  of a lens+ camera combo that also gives fantastic bokeh , for the bang for the buck the SMC Tak 50 is a bargain , the only lens that delivers for less of a price would be the Russian Helios 44-XX  58/2  lenses

ISO 160 f2 1/4000th of a second

it was also the #495th most *interesting* shot on flickr for october 14th!

Summicron 50/2: 70s Ornamental

With the thermometer and ornament , this was a total 70s vibe, especially with the curtains in the background , so to top it off I used colorefex pro to tone it similar to 1970s era Fuji film

Super MC Takumar 28/3.5: Heading South

As I was goofing around on the beach at Kouchibouguac
,  Canada Geese were flying over all the time, this group was very loud, plus we started to get some cloud cover so I thought it made a better picture

If you live in Canada , you better like nature :) because we have a LOT of it

Super Multi Coated Takumar 28/3.5: Suncatcher

I forgot how much fun I had with close up shots so I popped the SMC Tak 28mm on my KX and tried some macro style shots of the wondrous colours this time of year, this is wide open at f3.5 .

even though this is a wide angle lens, it will focus down to 0.4 metres ( 1.3 feet) so after the long range lenses of the leica it was quite a lot of fun using it, especially saying I remembered I paid 20 dollars for it.............
