I had the lens set at F4, and I wasnt sure it was actually at that setting, butthe adapter I had depresses the pin so it turns it into a manual 44m6, the official pentax m42>k mount one does not do that, hence teh requirement for surgery to fix it!

Helios 44m-6 : great sharpness even with cleaning marks on it
